...Now that I think about it, there are two points of view we can take.

One, he'd be better off having it taken from him, since he'd get himself into another fight.

Two, someone might attack him and he'll need his armour.

Because you told someone that loves you that you don't want to have anything to do with him anymore. Because he made a mistake. Honestly, I wouldn't even be getting involved in this if it weren't for the fact that being with you makes him happy.
